Weekly Update - January 12 - 16

Hello Incredible Orangethorpe Families

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the awards assembly last week.  It is always fun to see how excited the students get to receive their award and see you in the audience.

Information/Reminders:

Mon Jan 12  - ELPAC Parent Webinar - 6:00–7:00pm.
Please join us by using the webinar link: bit.ly/ELPACwebinarFSD. This online session will help families learn:

  • What the ELPAC is
  • The Road to English Proficiency
  • Parent Resources to Support English Learners

Tues Jan 13  - ELAC meeting 8:00am Rm 9 - we hope you can join us

Tues Jan 13 - School Site Council - 3:00pm Rm 9

Thurs Jan 15 - Multiage Open House - 5:30 - 6:30pm

Attendance:  As we move into testing season, it is important that your children are at school everyday so they are not missing instruction.  We understand that students get sick and that is out of your control but if that happens, please consider signing up for independent study so they do not fall behind in their learning.

 Thank you for helping your students get back into school mode.  We had a great first week back with the children working really hard in their classrooms.  I appreciate all your support for everything we are doing at Orangethorpe and look forward to a strong end to the school year.
