Hello Incredible Orangethorpe Families

I hope you had a great weekend.

Thank you for an amazing first week, we had many classrooms that had perfect attendance and we appreciate your commitment to getting your children to school.  Our teachers are excited to learn all about their new group of students and have been making sure they feel welcomed and supported as they begin the school year.

Information/Reminders:

Mon Aug 17 - 5th and 6th grade students will attend an assembly to introduce them to band.  After the assembly, students who are interested will bring home a permission slip to join.

Thurs Aug 20 - Canes fundraiser  - 11:00am - 9:00pm - 223 S Euclid, Anaheim.  Enjoy a yummy lunch or dinner while supporting our school.

Thurs Aug 20 - Back to School Night - 5:00pm - 7:00pm

• 5:00pm - 5:55pm - Presentations in the MPR
• 6:00pm - 6:25pm - 1st classroom presentation
• 6:30pm - 6:55pm - 2nd classroom presentation

Speech/Debate:

FSD is excited to launch the 2026–2027 Speech and Debate program! We are still working on our teacher but will get that information to you soon.  If your child is in grades 4–8 and is interested in joining our team, please mark your calendars for the following dates:

Thursday, August 20, at 5:00 PM – The Speech and Debate program interest form will go live at bit.ly/gospeech2026.
