Principal's Message

Hello Incredible Orangethorpe Families

We had a jam packed week last week and I thank everyone who joined us for all the events; color run, recognition awards, Booknik, soccer game and Saturday school.  We hope you had fun at all of them.

Hopefully you remembered to move your clocks an hour ahead.  This means it will be lighter in the evenings longer and means summer is just around the corner.

Information/Reminders: 

Spring Conferences:  Reminder that all week is conferences with 12:10pm dismissal everyday.  If you are having a conference with your child's teacher, Gate 1 will be open after dismissal and you can go straight to your child's classroom.

Dogs: As a reminder, dogs are not allowed on campus.  We had a lot of events last week and on a few occasions dogs were on campus.  If you come to campus for an event and have a dog with you, unfortunately we will not allow you to enter. Thank you for your help with this.

Team Kids Carnival: Our 5th and 6th grade students are preparing games for the carnival on Friday. Team Kids staff will be selling tickets to the carnival this week for these games. Tickets are 25 cents each.  This is a carnival just for the students as it takes place during their lunch time.

Wed March 11 - Coffee with the principal - 8:00am in the MPR - we hope you can join us.

Fri March 13 - Staff vs Students basketball game 11:20am - Please enter through gate 1, the game will be on the blacktop. 

Spring Break - March 14 - 22 - We hope you enjoy some family time and get some rest and relaxation.

Mon March 23 - School Resumes 

FSD Fest: Here are a few opportunities for your child to be involved with FSD Fest.  

1. Passion Agents Conference: a district-wide passion showcase. Much like a talent show, this event gives our students a platform to share their unique interests and talents with the community.
2. Film Fest competition. This is a filmmaking contest where student creators can submit their work. Winners of the competition will be honored at an award ceremony designed to give them a true "Oscars" experience.

Lost and Found:  Since we are in the last week before Spring break, if your child has lost any items, please check the lost and found. On Friday March 13, any remaining items will be donated.  Lost and found is just outside the MPR.

 Thank you for all your support last week by attending all the events.  We hope to see you around campus this week for coffee with the principal, conferences and the basketball game.  Most of all, we wish you all a great week and hope you have an amazing Spring break.
